Description

In the context of a scientific work, this photo of the mighty Aldebaran was taken.
Shooting such a bright and massive star with an enormous focal length of almost 7 metres was a great challenge.

Alone the problems of Aldebaran not burning a hole in the sensor with a magnitude of -2.1 and the resulting extreme reflexes were devastating. ;-)

The data were acquired by Rochus Hess at the VEGA observatory in Obertrum am See in Austria.
The processing of the data was done by myself.
A Ritchey-Chrétien-Cassegrain telescope from ASA with a mirror diameter of one metre was used for the photos.
I thank Rochus for the excellent data!
